Notice of Intended Prosecution Questionnaire

Please click the links below to obtain advice if you have received a notice of intended prosecution.

Were you the driver at the time of the alleged offence detailed on the notice?

YES? / NO?

Advice If you were the driver at the time of the alleged offence you must complete the appropriate section of the form provided by the police confirming your details. Depending on the speed alleged, you will then receive either an offer of a fixed penalty, an offer to attend a speed awareness course or a court summons.

You should only complete the form if it is addressed to you.

If you already have 9 or more points on your licence you will not be able to accept any fixed penalty offered and will almost certainly receive a court summons for the offence.

Please note that the penalty for failure to provide information is 6 points and a fine of up to £1,000.

There may be a defence to the allegation detailed on the notice. If you would like to discuss your options in more detail or are interested in defending the allegation call us now on 0800 4334 678. Please complete an online enquiry form should you wish for one of our solicitors to call you.
